Candy-Free Easter Basket Ideas

What do you typically see filling most Easter Baskets? Jelly beans, chocolate, bunnies and those gooey cream eggs, right?
Whether your child has a food allergy or you are just trying to cut down on sugary sweets, more and more parents are searching for candy-free options. Here are some ideas to spark your imagination on some candy-free Easter Basket possibilities.

A Toy Basket

Fill a basket with fun toys like Bananas or Mega Man! Bananas are fun, collectible toys that actually smell like real bananas. Kids can peel each one and discover fun Crushie characters inside along with stickers and other goodies. Click them together to form a bunch! Mega Man is the latest action figure from the Cartoon Network show of the same name based on a Japanese video game series. There are a variety of action figures and cool accessories!

A Little Bites Basket

If your family loves a treat for Easter but is looking for something other than candy, Entenmann’s Little Bites are the perfect solution. With zero trans fats per serving and no high fructose corn syrup, they are a treat you can feel good about. In a variety of flavors like Party Cake, chocolate chip, and Fudge Brownie (just to name a few) every member of the family will find a favorite.

An Inexpensive Basket

If you are looking to save a little on your Easter Basket this year, check out Bulleye’s Playground at Target! I was able to put together this great basket for just $13 including the basket itself. It is full of fun things like a book, sidewalk chalk, a magic trick, a stationary kit, and more.

An Oral Health Basket

Sometimes sweets are just part of the Easter celebration and that’s okay too. Maybe put together a basket with colorful toothbrushes and flossers along with a fun toothpaste. I even found a candy that claims to help clean teeth!

In a rush?

If you’re as busy as most moms, some times it’s worth it to grab a pre-made basket. We found some Crayola, Princess and Avenger themed ones at Target. We also found a cool sports-themed basket on Amazon. We also found one specifically for tweens!
