Protect Your Devices with F-Secure Safe

f-secure safe boxFor someone who spends most of her waking hours on a computer (or other computer-like device), I have to admit that I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to hardware and software. I can write a well-SEO’d blog post or edit a photo and I do love my social media, but ask me to install a hard drive and I freeze up. You can ask my IT friend about how he cringes every time I tell him I smacked the side of my hard drive to stop it from making that “weird noise” or got the unit fan going again by sticking a pencil in the back.

I get the whole concept of staying safe online and have been doing my best to educate myself on the best practices and products to protect my information and devices from those who are out to steal my info and are (sadly) much more savvy than I in that particular area.

It’s not being paranoid if they are really out to get you.

A while back, I introduced you to Freedome and how I was using it to stay safe online. I still love it and am thrilled to be partnering with F-Secure again to let you know about another service they offer that can help you stay safe in the online world – Safe. (Perfect name, right??)

Now, if you are looking for all the technical mumbo-jumbo explanation of how it works, you’ll probably want to head over to the F-Secure site for the “official” terminology and all that. If you are looking for the kind of explanation that the average person can relate to, keep reading. (Because, you know, I’m about as “average person” as you can get!)

Learn more about F-Secure Safe.

So, I spent a lot of time before talking about the dangers that lurk out there when you connect to wi-fi, especially public wi-fi. While that is still true and definitely a concern, the sad fact is that your computer and devices can be at just as much risk at home as well. A person could go nuts buying virus protection for all of their desktops, phones, laptops, and tablets AND browsing protection for each of these devices also. Between try9ing to keep up with which plan expires when and making sure everything is updated to the latest version, you could create a full time job!

With F-Secure Safe, all of your devices are protected by one program, everywhere.

F-Secure Safe includes virus protection, browsing protection, parental controls, and even suspicious file analysis. And of course, it is Windows 10 compatible, works on all computers (yes, even Apple) and protects all mobile devices. Phew!

Try F-Secure Safe free for 4 months!

You know how most free trials are only for a week or two? If you’re anything like me, you are insanely busy and have trouble squeezing any kind of new exploration into that week trial. I can’t tell you how many trials I’ve signed up for and never would up doing a thing with the before the week was over. F-Secure Safe is giving you a free 4 month (let that sink in for a moment…FOUR. MONTHS.) trial so you can really explore its features on your own time and put it to the test. Just click on the image below to sign up.

We have a similar multi-device internet security plan and I wouldn’t be able to sleep without it- and I CAN change a hard drive 😉 Everyone needs online protection!

I try my best to keep our devices safe from all the viruses and what nots out there. I am always apprehensive when connecting to public wifi. I have anti virus programs running all our devices to keep it safe.

This is definitely something to check into. I don’t use public Wi-Fi very often and I’m always careful about it but you never know what people can hack into you in just a few minutes you’re on there.

What a neat way to protect your devices, I love that there are so many affordable options out there like this now a days where back a couple years ago not everyone could afford such a thing!

I have no clue about anything except what I do for my writing. My husband is very well versed in IT and I always refer to him whenever I have a question, which is often. I don’t even know what kind of security my laptop has, my husband did it all.

My husband uses a program to protect all our devices, but I have no idea what it is. I’m not the greatest when it comes to technology.

I really need to check into something like this. I just recently had a friend that had their account hacked on Xbox Live of all places!
