I remember the good old days when LJ had no opinions about what he wore. I could pick out pretty much anything (except maybe a pink princess dress) and he’d wear it without a word. Life was good and life was easy.
Then he got an opinion. About. Everything.
Suddenly he has specific ideas about what he wants to wear, what kind of backpack he should carry, and even about how long his hair should be. This makes life much more difficult. Especially since he hates (I’m talking a red fire kind of hate) going shopping. No longer am I qualified to pick out his clothes, but he doesn’t want to do it either. See my dilemma?
As a result of this, I have developed a new found love for internet shopping. When I was given the opportunity to review a pair of boys shoes from Umi, I thought that was probably the perfect solution to LJ’s now hole filled shoes. LJ and I sat down at my computer and looked at what Umi had to offer.

LJ was excited that there was so much to choose from! He loved his last pair of “skater shoes” and was upset that they were getting all worn out. He asked if I could find a pair that were similar and get those for him. He fell in love with this pair and had me order them.

When they arrived, he was thrilled with how they looked. I was thrilled with how well they fit. They were very true-to-size (always a concern when buying shoes online). He’s been wearing them everyday for several weeks now and I am impressed with how they are holding up!

So, to sum things up – LJ is thrilled with his shoes and Mom was thrilled with the ease of finding and ordering them AND how well they are made. Everyone is happy. And that’s a really good thing!
