Stay Fresh with Cottonelle Fresh Wipes this Summer #CottonelleRoutine

CB-white-script-400When I lived back East, I didn’t give Wisconsin much thought and when I did think about it, I would usually think of snow.  While that’s not completely wrong (let’s face it – it does snow much of the year here), summers are when Wisconsin really shines!  Seriously – there is SO MUCH to do here in the summer. People say that it is because we have such long winters, we try to pack it all into the summer months while we can.  There are ethnic festivals every single weekend (Irish Fest, Polish Fest, German Fest, Italian Fest – you get the picture), Summerfest (the largest music festival anywhere), State Fair, I could seriously go on and on!

The summer months here can be surprisingly hot and humid. When you decide you want to attend one of these events, you need to be prepared to be hot and sweaty.  If you are attending several events in one day (say going to the Zoo during the day and heading down to the Lakefront for fireworks at night), you can begin to feel really gross by evening.

Or say you are at State Fair and you’re enjoying some of our famous food on a stick. (On a side note, I hear the cupcakes-on-a-stick rolled out at Summerfest yesterday are totally delish!)  I know that food has a way of getting everywhere except in the mouth where it belongs.  We’re talking sticky faces, sticky hands, heck – I’ve even dripped ice cream down my leg on occasion.

So what’s a person supposed to do in these situations?  Pop in the restroom and clean up? First of all – eww. Second of all, have you ever seen the lines at the restrooms during these events? Um, no thank you.

My solution is to carry Cottonelle Fresh Wipes with me everywhere.  They have saved me more than once when I’ve wound up in a public rest room that turned out not to have any toilet paper. And yes, you’d think I’d learn to check after the first time. *sigh*  But the benefits of Cottonelle Fresh Wipes go beyond the bathroom.  They are perfect for freshening up during those hot, sticky adventures out and about.  I’ve been known to use them to wash my hands before indulging in some State Fair treats – or after if I was particularly messy.  I’ve done a quick pit wipe to cool off and freshen up as well as use them to take off an almost-sweated-off layer of make up so I could reapply before an evening out.  I love that Cottonelle Fresh Wipes come in different sized packs so they can easily fit in my purse, car or whatever bag I’m dragging around that day.

Cottonelle Fresh Wipes are going to be featured on tomorrow’s (June 28) episode of The Talk which airs at 3 pm CST.  They will be highlighting their own stay fresh routines and how they stay cool and clean.  Be sure to check it out! Hey – did you miss this episode of The Talk?? No worries – you can catch a reply here!!

Oh – and you can grab a free Fresh Care Wipes Dispenser when you buy a 24-pack of Cottonelle Clean Care Toilet Paper. (In case you want to use Fresh Wipes in the traditional way – you know, in the bathroom!)

I love all of the Fried Food on a stick at the Fair.. What not to like about a deep fried Snicker or Milky Way.. 🙂 I am sure the Cottonelle Fresh Care wipes would come in handy…. I will have to check them out and possible pick some up!

    Thanks for the info!

A good friend of mine moved from Florida to Wisconsin during the winter. They seem to be REALLY enjoying the summer and I am constantly amazed at all of the festivals that they have been going to since the snow melted. I grew up in Alaska, so I completely understand the need to pack all of your fun, sunny weather activities into a few, very short months.

Your post made me laugh out loud (I hate fair potties too). Great job!

Thanks Summer – glad you enjoyed it 🙂 Wisconsin winters must be an adjustment for your friend after Florida. I can’t even imagine living in Alaska – the lack of sun in the winter would do me in for sure!!
