I’m one of those weird people who doesn’t like super spicy food and I don’t like super bland foods. I don’t want my mouth to be burning for an hour after I finish a snack, but I also don’t want to forget that I’m actually having a snack because it’s so boring. As you can imagine, it’s hard for this Goldielocks to find snacks that are “just right”. But when I do, I can’t resist telling everyone about them!!
Oh, but wait. The list of my snack demands goes on (and on, and on). Since a lot of the time when I snacking, I’m also working or driving, I’d love if my perfect snack was easily portable. And since I seemed to have rediscovered my love for sugar and carbs during the last six months (can we say stress eating???) and I’m trying to get that back under control so if my perfectly seasoned, not too spicy, not too bland, portable snack could also be low carb, that would be great too.
I know what you’re thinking – this perfect snack does not exist. But guess what? It does!!
I’ve tried snacking on plain almonds before and, to be honest, they were always a bit plain for me. But Blue Diamond has a line of really flavorful almonds that check every box on my list!! They come in a variety of flavors and Wasabi & Soy is my favorite. It has just a little bit of zing that wakes up my taste buds without leaving me flailing for a glass of water.
The Blue Diamond BOLD Sweet Thai Chili Almonds are the perfect combination of a bit spicy and a bit sweet. I was a little nervous about the “BOLD” label, but once I tried them they quickly became my favorite. Well, favorite along with the Wasabi & Soy.
Of course, once I realized that the BOLD flavor wasn’t too bold for me, I had to try the Blue Diamond BOLD Habenero BBQ Almonds too. These also have that awesome sweet and spicy combination with just the right temperature. These are definitely my favorite. Well, add them to the list I guess.
