Noodles & Company Summer Salad Giveaway

Last week, my friend Eileen and I were invited to stop by our local Noodles & Company to try their two new summer salads.  If you’re like me, you typically think of Noodles & Company as a restaurant that serves, well, noodles!  Of course, they do serve noodles – lots of them any way you’d like them – but they also serve soups, salads, and some amazing flatbread.

For a limited time this summer, Noodles & Company has introduced two new salads to their menu.

The Very Berry Spinach Salad has strawberries, pecans, house-made croutons, bacon crumbles, and blue cheese over fresh spinach with a drizzle of balsamic fig dressing.  It is a little bit of heaven in a bowl!  The bacon and blue cheese give the otherwise light salad a little bit of “heft” and make it very satisfying as a meal.

The Backyard Barbecue Chicken Salad has tender, pulled chicken breast with fresh cut corn (like cut off the cob right then!), roma tomatoes, and purple cabbage over greens.  The chicken has a really light barbecue/mayo sauce and the greens have a smokey slaw dressing.  I am not usually a huge barbecue fan because of the strong flavors, but I loved this salad!  The flavors are mild and blend very well together.  I didn’t find the chicken heavy at all and wound up being very happy with this as a meal choice.

Interested in trying some Noodles & Company salads yourself?  The folks at Noodles didn’t want you to feel left out, so they offered a nice summer prize pack for me to give away.  The winner will get: a bamboo cutting board, organic seed packs and two free Summertime Salad cards.

Here’s how to enter:

1) Leave a comment telling me your favorite Noodles & Company dish.  (Me?  I’m a big Pad Thai with tofu fan!)

Additional entries:

2) Go check out Noodles & Company’s blog.  (Didn’t know they had a blog?  Neither did I – and it’s a great one!)  Leave a comment sharing one of Tessa’s tips here.

3) Leave a comment on any other Wisconsin Mommy non-giveaway post. (Leave a comment here too, so I know that you did that.)

The giveaway will end at 11:59 pm CST on August 21st when a winner will be chosen via random.org.  The winner will be notified via email (so please make it easy to find!) and will have 72 hours to respond and provide a US mailing address or a new winner will be chosen.

Thanks to Noodles & Company for hosting Eileen and I for lunch and for providing the giveaway prize!
