Last month, I was contacted by Verizon Wireless and asked to be part of their Midwest Moms program. For being part of Midwest Moms, I was given a Motorola Xoom tablet, six months of wireless service, and a super secret yet-to-be-rolled-out smart phone which I will get next month. Not bad, huh?
The group was brought down to Chicago and given a one day introduction to the Xoom and all things Verizon Wireless. I have to admit that I knew little about the company and their services prior to this meeting but left quite impressed.
Since then, I have been having lots of fun playing with the Xoom and learning about all the cool things it can do. So far, I’ve Facebooked, Tweeted, watched YouTube videos, taken pictures, checked my email, and even brought it to Bloggy Boot Camp earlier this month.
Now it’s time for me to come clean here…while I love all my techie gadgets, I’m not really a tech-oriented kind of girl. I don’t figure out how to do tech-type things on my own very well. I pretty much need someone sitting next to me, showing me how to do things. That can be a problem when I get a new gadget (like the Xoom). I know how to do a bunch of things with the Xoom, but I also know that there are so many more things I could be doing if I just knew how.
That’s why I was so thrilled when I heard that there was a video tutorial just for the Xoom. I’m pretty sure whoever thought to make this had me in mind! If you have a Xoom, I recommend taking a peek at the video – you might be surprised by what you don’t already know. If you are considering purchasing a Xoom, then this video will definitely give you a really good picture of how the Xoom works and what it can do.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow when I am going to demonstrate one of the coolest (well, in my opinion) features I have found so far on the Xoom.
I am a part of Verizon’s Midwest Moms program. I was given a Motorola Xoom and six months of service in exchange for sharing my journey with all of you. All opinions expressed are my own.
