As a diehard coffee lover, I have amassed quite a collection of coffee ornaments for my Christmas tree. Most of them have come from that coffee chain – you know which one I mean. What I didn’t have was a handmade ornament that celebrated my love for the brew. Until now! I’m excited to share this fun holiday craft with you.
These festive coffee Christmas ornaments would make the perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life, whether they are family members, a teacher or anyone else you want to remember this holiday season. This DIY ornament is perfect for attaching to a gift card for their favorite coffee shop or as an add-on to their favorite bag of coffee beans (both of which are great gifts). They are surprisingly easy to make, but please supervise if making this craft with younger children.
First, gather your supplies. You will need:
Next, you will assemble the DIY coffee ornament:
- Glue two styrofoam balls into the cup.
2. Fill the piping bag with caulking and pipe it onto the top of the cup in a swirl.
3. Drizzle brown paint over the caulking.
4. Cut a 1-inch piece from the straw and use a dab of hot glue to attach to the top of the cup.
5. Create a loop with bakers twine and glue inside of the straw for hanging.
6. Decorate with an embellishment on the cup if desired.
Enjoy!!
