What would you like me to pick up for you at Lands’ End

You may recall that I will be heading out to the Lands' End HUGE annual sale this coming week. I'll be taking some behind the scenes tours and learning about the ins and outs of running a top notch company like Lands' End. There's a lot that goes into keeping customers happy!Part of the trip includes the nice Lands' End folks allowing me to do some shopping for my wonderful readers. They've ...

Bathroom Makeover with Glidden Testers #GliddenTesters

I have a thing about painting.  For some reason, I can't seem to get myself out of a very conservative tan pallet.  Somewhere along the line, a realtor or someone said to me "Paint the walls a neutral color and accessorize with bolder colors."Not that it's bad advice.  It just gets, well, boring.  And it's led to me having a house where basically all the walls are some sort of a tan color. Not any ...

Marcus Theaters: Kids Rule Summer Movie Series

It's hard to believe that tomorrow is the first official day of summer.  Between the cool spring and all the rain we've had lately, it really doesn't feel much like summer.  If you're looking for a place to escape the rain (or the hot temps should they ever hit), how about the movies?Marcus Theatres are bringing back their Kids Rule summer movie series again this summer.  A real bargain at $2 per ...

Sargento Makes Healthy Snacking Easier (and banishes the moldy blue thing in my fridge drawer)

LJ has been a huge cheese lover since, well, birth I guess.  I have vivid memories of him as a baby, screaming all the way through the grocery store, and then stopping once we got to the dairy aisle.  He would turn into an absolute charmer, flash that dimpled grin and ask "heese???" (He had a hard time saying the "ch" blend!)  Hand the boy a stick of string cheese or a slice of American and he was ...

KinderCare Summer Camp Program

Summer can offer a challenge as far as keeping our kids occupied and stimulated once school lets out. Here in Wisconsin, we have almost three full months of summer vacation (I know East Coast folks tend to get out more toward the end of June).LJ likes to stay busy with lots of activities during the summer: tennis lessons, YMCA camp, and zoo camp. Still, we have quite a bit of "down time" and were ...

Neutrogena Wet Skin Sun Protection

When I was younger, I was intent on getting a tan every summer.  This was in spite of the fact that I have very pale, Irish coloring.  With hours of baking in the sun, I might get a slight tan but mostly just turned pink.  By the time I was out of college, I was taking vacations during spring break (an advantage of being a teacher!!) and spending time in tanning booths to "develop a base" so I ...

Cottonelle Moist Wipes #GetFresh

I had a (non-blogger) friend over the other day who excused herself to use the bathroom and disappeared down the hallway.  A few minutes later, I heard loud laughter coming from our guest bathroom and couldn't imagine what was going on in there. (Or should I say didn't want to imagine!)When she came out, I couldn't resist asking what had her laughing. "I've seen Cottonelle Moist Wipes in no less ...

TYLENOL for infants and children – new and improved!

Like many parents, I was at a bit of a loss when all of the children's (and infant's) Tylenol was abruptly pulled from the shelves due to a recall.  I had been using Tylenol faithfully ever since LJ's very first illness and had grown to trust it as a safe method to deal with the many bugs and bumps that come along with being the parent to an active boy.The good news is that Children's Tylenol is ...
