While there are always a ton of fun craft ideas around for the winter holidays, it can be hard to find cute fall-themed crafts that go beyond the handprint turkey idea. These adorable acorn cookie treats are easy enough for kids to make them with minimal supervision and tasty enough to serve after any fall meal – even Thanksgiving!
All you need to get started is:
- Hershey Kisses
- Mini Peanut butter cookies
- Black Decorator’s Icing
- Chocolate Chips
And the steps that go into assembling these adorable acorn cookies are just as simple:
Unwrap the Hershey Kisses.
Place a dab of black decorator’s icing on the flat bottom surface of the Hershey Kiss.
Firmly place a mini peanut butter cookie on top of the icing.
Holding the cookie topped kiss from its pointy end, place another small dab of icing on the middle of the top of the cookie.
Firmly press a chocolate chip onto the dab of icing on top of the cookie.
Place the prepared candy acorns on a tray, and place in the freezer for a few minutes so the icing can harden and set.
Once they have set, you now have an adorable acorn cookie that you can serve as an after school treat, bring to a fall get-together or even serve after Thanksgiving dinner. And since there is no cutting or baking involved, it is the perfect fall craft project for even the littlest of children!
