I just might like laundry a little more now…#MaytagMoms

Hopefully, I won’t get into trouble for admitting that I really don’t like doing laundry. It really isn’t much fun, is it?  Having a snazzy new washer and dryer sure do take a lot of the pain out of this particular chore, though.

One of the things I can never figure out is where exactly all of the laundry comes from. It’s just Jay, LJ, and I here.  Yet we produce TONS of laundry each week.  I can’t even begin to imagine how moms with a large family keep up with it!! One of the differences I noticed right away was how much more I can fit into the Maytag Bravos washer.  What used to take up two (sometimes even three) load can now be finished in one!! This means less time doing laundry and more time doing what I want to do.

Changing the beds used to be a multi-load project for each bed. Now I can fit the matress pad, sheets and blanket in one load. I just set the machine on the allergen setting and I’m good to go.  Now if I could just figure out how to get the Bravos to make bed too….

One of the really cool features of the Bravos pair is the PowerSpray technology.  Rather than pour your laundry soap directly onto your clothes (which can damage them), you pour the soap into a specific slot. It is then mixed with water and sprayed to evenly distribute it throughout the load.  Bleach and fabric softener are also distributed the same way. I did learn from experience that I can get away with using a lot less laundry detergent with the Bravos. The first few loads I used too much and had to use the extra rinse cycle to get it all out.  I’m continuously impressed at how clean my clothes come out while using less water and less detergent.

I hate laundry no matter what. I don’t think anything other than having someone else do it for me can make it better.

I can totally see why you’d like that power spray feature. That’s pretty cool. Mine does something similar and I love it.

When my not-so-old front loader went on the fritz last year, a friend brought me over his father’s old (and I mean old) MayTag washer. I have to tell you the dang thing gets my clothes cleaner than the expensive newer one did and my water bill barely budged.

That is how I felt when I got my Whirlpool washer/dryer. Laundry wasn’t as much of a chore anymore.
