A shandy is a drink made from mixing beer with another non-alcoholic beverage (often lemonade) and is a great way to enjoy a lighter version of your favorite beer on a hot, steamy day. My favorite summer flavors are lemonade and every kind of berry under the sun, It shouldn’t surprise anyone that this homemade berry shandy is fast becoming my favorite summer drink this year. It’s easy to make and will set your summer picnic or party apart from the rest when your guests take a sip!
Refreshing Berry Shandy
2 Cups beer
½ Cup strawberries
½ Cup raspberries
½ Cup blueberries
5 Cups lemonade
2 Cups water
3 Tbsp sugar
Rosemary and berries to decorate
Add the strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and water to the blender. Pulse for 2 minutes or until processed.
Add the lemonade, sugar, and beer and pulse for 2 more minutes or until everything is well incorporated.
Fill glasses with ice and pour the shandy into them.
Decorate with a sprig of rosemary and a couple of berries.
Serve and enjoy.
To make it a mocktail change the beer for some lemon lime soda. You can also swap the berries for any other fruit for a different flavor combo.
