I am a big fan of washing my clothes in cold water whenever possible. Not only does it save money on energy, but I feel it cuts down on the fading and shrinkage of clothes as well and extends their wearable life. As I’ve mentioned before, the Maytag Bravos high efficiency washer works very differently than the traditional top loader. I was a little worried about how well it would get stains out in the cold water wash.

Well, I didn’t need to worry about a thing. My cold water washes came out perfectly clean! Because I hate to dry clothes until they are bone dry, I used to set the dryer for timed cycles. Even then, I’d be popping in to do a quick “hand feel” of the clothes to see if they were almost dry yet. My new Maytag Bravos drier has several different dryness settings and must have very sensitive sensors, because it really does stop the cycle just when I want it to.
I have to admit that I (on occasion) would wait too long to empty the laundry out of the dryer and it would be a wrinkled mess. This dryer offers two solutions to that problem: you can either set a button that will continue to toss the laundry ever few minutes until you empty it OR you can put the load through a quick steam/refresh cycle that takes wrinkles out quickly and easily.

I’m still learning new things about my Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer, but I have to say that I am totally loving them!!
I am participating in this campaign thanks to Maytag and Mom Central Consulting and received the products discussed above in order to facilitate my review. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

I am so jealous of your washer and dryer. Mine is about 7 years old so not quite ready to get new ones, but wowie zowie they have such cool features now.
