10 Items that are Cheaper at Club Stores

Many people debate the benefits of paying for a club store membership, and these 10 items that are a great deal at club stores are the ideal reason to grab one. For many families, this is one of the best ways to stretch a household budget. It is especially helpful financially when you don’t have time to scour the sales papers for deals and clip coupons every week. Being able to save money in unique ways is important.

10 items that are cheaper at club stores

10 Items That Are a Great Deal at Club Stores

Prescriptions: Club stores have great prices on name brand and generic prescription medications. While it may not help if you have a good prescription drug insurance plan, for those who are still paying out of pocket for prescriptions, this is the ideal place to get a great deal.

Photo Prints: Almost all club stores have a photo shop, and if you want to print images it is a great place to find amazing deals. The prices per print are almost always lower than anywhere else, in person or online.

Organic Foods: Some of the best deals on organics will be found at club stores. Most popular and best deals will include hormone and antibiotic free chicken and turkey as well as grass fed beef or bison. Watch for deals on organic jams, jellies, salad dressings and even breads. The produce will be hit and miss, but well worth checking out the seasonal offerings.

Bulk Flour, Sugar or Beans: While these deals may not work for the family that doesn’t use them often, they are great for those who regularly make their own foods from scratch. Breads, biscuits, cakes and cookies can take up the flour and sugar in no time at all. Bulk bags of dried beans or even rice are also an excellent deal, and could potentially be split up with friends or family if you aren’t sure you’ll use them before they go bad. Invest in some airtight containers for storage, and stock up for several months at a time.

Spices: Bulk spices are almost always much cheaper than buying individual small bottles. For everyday items like salt, pepper, cumin, curry, oregano, garlic powder or onion powder you won’t find better prices than in a club store. Other seasoning blends like seasoned salt, BBQ seasoning or even an Italian herb or taco blend are often great deals. Spices do loose their strength over time, so don’t buy the large containers if you aren’t going to be using regularly. If you can’t see yourself going through the container in 6-12 months, stick with the small jars so you aren’t wasting money.

Jewelry: While not all jewelry will be a great deal, you will find a lot of amazing prices on wedding sets, necklaces, bracelets and watches. Especially around holidays like Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Electronics: Many electronic items like televisions, gaming systems and computers are found to be at amazing prices at a club store. You’ll also want to check out your location for things like major appliances, microwaves, small kitchen appliances and of course vacuums.

Alcohol: If you are someone who indulges in an alcoholic beverage on occasion or are planning on entertaining in the near future, this is the place to go. Most club stores have excellent deals on wines and beer.

Milk: Club stores are notorious for having milk by the gallon at $.50-$1.00 less per gallon than other area stores. Especially look for prices on milk substitutes like almond, soy or even coconut milk. Organic milk is often cheaper as well, and since milk can be frozen easily, it’s a good idea to stock up when the price is a big difference.

Tools: Basic household and even mechanics tools are often found at significantly better prices at club stores. While they are usually sold in kits, the overall price is typically much less per item. Air compressors, various air tools, simple kits of screwdrivers, sockets and wrenches in multiple sizes and even toolboxes for your home or vehicle are all great deals.

These items to always but at club stores are just a few of the reasons that a club store membership is a great choice for your family! What is your favorite club store item???
