Make your own flavored water – cucumber, watermelon, and basil.

Don’t buy vitamin water or other flavored water!  Make your own for just pennies…

Last week, I shared the recipe for citrus and mint water.  Today, I am trying cucumber, watermelon, and basil.  I have to admit that I was a bit dubious about this one because of the basil.  I added lemon basil which has a light flavor that reminds me a bit of Froot Loops.  I used about a half cup of cubed watermelon, a half of a cucumber sliced, and two sprigs of lemon basil.  It is really good!  A bit tastier than just plain cucumber water, IMO.

YUM – I absolutely love fresh cucumber in water. I had it at a spa once and adored it.

I would never have put those together in water. I actually have all of those here and I am going to make some tomorrow…

Wait. Cucumbers and watermelon and basil all TOGETHER? I’ve heard of all three separately but not together! I’ll have to try making my own waters and see if it helps me drink more.
