As someone who goes down to Chicago fairly often for both business and recreation, I have a list of my favorite Chicago hotels that I tend to visit over and over again. One of the hotels that is definitely on that list is the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This is one of my favorite and I’ve attended the last few years myself. While other obligations kept me up in Wisconsin this year, I’m following along on social media and love seeing all the pictures of the crazy cars that show up at the show.
Since the show is at McCormick Place, staying at the Hyatt Regency is a smart move for a number of reasons. You can get from your hotel room to the Auto Show without going outside, so you won’t need to bring along a heavy winter coat. This is a HUGE plus for me as I like traveling light at these shows! You don’t have to deal with weather or cold – or the infamous Chicago wind. I also loved the ability to take a quick 30 minute break, use a private bathroom and put my sore feet up for a minute when I had a break during the show. McCormick Place is HUGE and being able to rest my tootsies for a few minutes is a big plus.
