If you asked me my favorite season, Winter would NOT be my answer! I realize that it’s probably a little ironic that someone who really doesn’t like cold or winter moved to Wisconsin. (It’s my husband’s fault – but that’s a story for another day.) I honestly thought going from New Hampshire to Wisconsin wouldn’t be that much of an adjustment, but that was before I experienced my first -30 degree morning. Having been here for 17 winters now, I have a few tricks I use to survive winter in Wisconsin and I’m happy to share them here as part of my paid partnership with ShopKo and Maven.
First, I’m ALL about staying warm on those cold nights, so I love to collect warm, cozy blankets to curl up in. This A&I Homespun Throw is lined with fleece on one side and is oh-so-cozy! It’s perfect for curling up with a good book or to watch a movie on a cold night. It comes in four different color pallets, so one will definitely match your decor. And at that price, you might want to pick up a few for gifts too!
Next, a great smelling candle makes the cooler weather much easier to take. ShopKo now has American Home Candles by Yankee Candle and I’m absolutely loving the Apple Cinnamon Cider scented one. The flickering light makes me feel warm and cozy as well and my home smells sooooo good.
Nothing warms me up faster than a hot beverage! I’d be lost without my Keurig. I can whip up coffee, hot chocolate, tea or even hot cider in just minutes. ShopKo has some crazy good deals on different models of Keurig machines right now. And don’t forget to stock up on those K-Cups so you don’t have to trek out into the snow!
And if you love shopping with someone else’s money, like I do, don’t forget to enter to win a $500 shopping spree!!!
