Remember a while back when I was talking about how I had received a few pieces of Sauder furniture and I was loving them in my kitchen and family room? Well, I wanted to update you on those pieces which have since found their way into my home office. (And not in the we-don’t-know-what-to-do-with-this-just-stick-it-in-Mom’s-office kind of way that all sorts of other odd stuff gets in there!)
I am using both the chairs and the ottoman in my office and loving the functionality and design. I occasionally have clients come to my house and was feeling a little silly having to pull in chairs from the kitchen table for them to sit at while in my office. The two Sauder chairs are perfect for my office in that they provide a great place for clients to sit, look professional and polished, and allow me to leave the kitchen chairs in the kitchen where they belong! Plus these are are a bit more comfortable!
The ottoman has come to serve a dual purpose. First, it is attractive storage. I’ve collected quite a few photo props and was using several prime real estate closet shelves to keep them all. I discovered the ottoman is the perfect place to stash them and it frees up those shelves for items I use more frequently. They are still easy to access in the ottoman, which I love.
The ottoman has also become Wisconsin Doggy’s favorite place to hang out while I’m working. Being such a small dog, he can’t lie on the floor AND see out the window. The ottoman is the perfect spot for him to nap in the sun and keep a watchful eye on what is happening outside. He definitely give Sauder two paws up!
Since my office decor is a gray/tan wall color accented by black accessories, the black leather look of both the chairs and ottoman are a perfect match!
I love furniture that can serve dual purposes – like these examples!

I love the ottoman and can see why it became your puppy’s favorite spot. I know my kids would immediately think it was a book nook.

I could definitely use an ottoman like that! I’d like to have one to store photos and scrapbooks, while still being functional.

I love furniture pieces that are multi-purpose, too. They are perfect for small spaces or small houses. I would love to have those in our new (old) house. I want an ottoman for sure. Thanks for sharing it with us.
