I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Rubbermaid. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I’m going to be honest – I love celebrating the holidays at someone else’s house. It’s such a treat to have someone else do the cooking and entertaining, and they usually do a much better job than I would! My mom does an awesome job of cooking Thanksgiving dinner and it wouldn’t be the same if anyone else cooked it – even me.
Since I am not a total mooch, I do offer to bring along some dishes to help contribute to the holiday meals. Deviled eggs are a family favorite and I love making them when I have the chance. The only issue is transporting them. When I’m entertaining at my own house, I just have to get them to the table without dropping them, but when I’m traveling to someone else’s house, transporting them can be a challenge.
Luckily, Rubbermaid is ready with all kinds of solutions!
I was sent two pieces of Rubbermaid food storage containers to try out this Thanksgiving. Since the pieces have so many uses, it actually felt like I was given a whole bunch of containers! I love that the two pieces don’t take up much storage space but are so versatile and serve so many purposes.
The first piece I received was the Rubbermaid Party Platter. This was perfect for transporting veggies and dip. I try to bring some healthy food choices with me when I go to parties so that I know there will be at least one choice I don’t have to feel guilty about!
The Party Platter has a divided base which keeps different types of food separated, while a smaller leak-proof Twist & Seal™ inner container holds the dip without it spilling all over the other foods. The top of the platter snaps on snugly and keeps my veggies fresh and yummy. All parts are dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe and BPA-free. At only $8.99 it’s a total bargain and is available at Kroger, Publix and Meijer.
The second piece I received was the Rubbermaid Party Serving Kit. This piece is incredibly versatile and can be used over 10 ways. I chose to use it to transport my deviled eggs and it has a special tray just for that. It also has an insert for cupcakes and can be used with no insert for cakes and cookies. The domed lid is tall enough to fit a two layer cake under it without messing up the frosting!
Do you ever bring dishes with you when you travel for the holidays? What is your “signature” dish?

I love the deviled egg tray. I have holders for the eggs, but no carrier to transport or keep them in. 🙁
Will have to track this container down after the holidays…. unless Santa sees this comment and brings me one. 🙂
