The Easiest Way To Charge and Backup Your Phone

This post was sponsored by SanDisk as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Have you ever noticed that all your electronics start to fail around the same time? It is almost like they get together and plan a revolt! The last time that happened to me, I was having issues with my desktop and phone all within a week. I had a few panicked moments where I thought ALL my photos were lost.

Like most moms, I have years of family and kid photos on my phone. While I have the best intentions to back up my phone on a regular basis, in reality, I’m lucky if I do it once a quarter. And even with these backups, if my desktop goes down, there go all my backups. Like a lot of people, I’m not keen on loading all of my personal photos to the cloud, so my computer is my backup.

I know what you are thinking -if my photos are so precious to me, why aren’t I making more of an effort to back them up. If I’m being honest, it’s a pain in the butt!! I plug my phone into my computer and then I’m without my phone for the hours it takes to backup. (Okay, if I did it more regularly, it might not take hours. But still.)

I kept thinking to myself, “if only someone would come up with an easier way to backup up my phone, I’d do it more often”.

Then the folks at SanDisk heard my plea and did just that!!

First, I have to share that I’ve been trusting SanDisk with all of my phone storage needs for years. I use a SanDisk SD cards in all of my cameras because I know I can rely on them to keep my pictures safe. When I first heard about the Ixpand Wireless Charger Sync from SanDisk, I was immediately interested in learning more just for the fact that it is made by SanDisk.

The thing that completely sold me on the Ixpand is that it is both a wireless charger AND an external automatic backup. Since I am already charging my phone every night, I don’t have to add any additional steps to my routine to both charge my phone AND backup my photos. All I did was switch out my wireless charger for the SanDisk Ixpand.*

Since everyone in our home has current phones that can easily be wirelessly charged, we had the choice of sharing this Ixpand among the whole family or each getting our own. The Ixpandhas a great corresponding app which is easily set up with separate profiles for each family member, so that is absolutely an option. If you are like us and prefer to charge/backup while sleeping then you might want to pick up a few of them. At $99.99 for the 64GB, $129.99 for the 128GB and $199.99 for the 256GB model, everyone can have their own! Plus, if you don’t need the back-up option, SanDisk also has the Ixpand Wireless Charger 15W.

The Ixpand has so many great features including full resolution image backup, video and contacts backup, a 6 foot cord to plug the unit in wherever you want, and adaptive charging to protect your phone battery!

I immediately thought of how handy this device would be for my parents as well. It’s super easy to set up, no matter what level of technology the recipient is comfortable with. If they can connect to their home Wifi, they can set up the SanDisk Ixpand. The app walks you through it step by step and even answers commonly asked questions!

*Like most wireless chargers, the Ixpand works best through rubber, plastic and TPU cases less than 3mm thick. Magnetic and/or metal cases are not recommended.
