We certainly enjoyed our time at Disney World and Little J especially loved meeting the characters from the Playhouse Disney shows. If your little one is also a Playhouse Disney fan, you will definitely want to catch Playhouse Disney Live! at the Milwaukee Theater. The show is running December 4th and 5th and tickets start as low as $15!
Thanks to my friends at Feld Entertainment, one lucky Wisconsin Mommy reader will win a four pack of tickets to the Friday, December 4th, 7 pm show.

We have snow plowed the driveway of elderly neighbors.

We have two houses that are vacant on both sides of our home. We help to take care of the yard and keep an eye on each one for the owners as one passed away and the other lives oversees. The family of the deceased live on the east coast so we volunteered to watch over the property until it is sold. We also check in with our elderly neighbor across the street to make sure she is ok or needs any help during the week.

Our neighbors were a tremendous support when we first bought our house, (and they still are!), & I was pregnant. My husband traveled a ton for work & they were always looking out for us. We plow their driveway & take them meals when one of them is under the weather. We even celebrate holidays & birthdays together.
I suppose it’s just normal neighbor things, but our last neighbors were not ones you’d want to spend time with.

Well, we just moved, but our new neighbor and I identified the lot line (well, we guessed anyway) so that he could plant trees. Does that count? 😉

I had cancer last year, so our neighbors were a HUGE help in pitching in when we needed it. This year, we looked for little ways to give back. We walk the cul du sac and pick up garbage, snowblow their sidewalks when we do ours, and do our best to reach out and check on them when they’ve been sick. Next year, when I’m better, we are hoping to tackle the cul du sac island with our neighbors and together make it beautiful again.

Hi there, we have a little old man who is all alone and has cancer. We bring him dinners and yummies. My daughters also color pictures for him and his dog Benji! We also help snowblow in the winters.

Start my elderly neighbor’s lawn mower, check up on her during bad weather and floods, & snow blow. It doesn’t seem like much, but we have a truly crazy schedule, and we know she really appreciates it.

We have been helping out our neighbors as the husband has been having to leave the state for weeks at a time in order to find work. His choice was to either stay here and be unemployed or relocate several hundred miles away for weeks at a time to bring in an income. We know it kills him to be away from his wife and children. Some of the things we’ve been doing include helping them out with lawn care, frequently letting them know we’re here to help in any way we can, calling to lend an ear to his wife, etc. He’s gone again and we just invited his wife and children over for dinner. Nothing fancy, probably just pizza but will allow time for the kids to play and the adults to chat. They’re so appreciative and I know they’d do the same for us in a heartbeat if the tables were turned.

When we first moved into our house, we received great lessons in how to help neighbors. I love our neighborhood as we all work together to help driveways & yards. We help each other out with watering flowers, mail, and garbage when someone is out of town. We’ll call to check when something seems wrong or different. All these things we’ve learned from having such great neighbors.

I think just everyday things like taking in the trash cans from the street, dropping off leftovers when you have extra to share, watching the neighbors houses when they are on vacation, helping each other when we need an extra hand. It is those little things that mean so much.
