This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.
Life is hectic. I’ve kinda given up on trying to change it and make it less hectic (because that was a losing battle) and am now just choosing to accept the hectic. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not still finding ways to slow down and steal moments here and there – me moments!
I’ve found a few ways to steal me moments here and there and make them as relaxing and special as possible. Today I am sharing a few of my tips on how to create a perfect me moment.
First – drop the guilt! There is absolutely no reason to feel any guilt for taking a me moment every now and then. You don’t feel guilty about putting gas in your car, do you? Of course not – because if you didn’t, it wouldn’t run and you wouldn’t be able to get anything done. Think of your me moments as putting gas back into your own tank.
Second – let others know that you are taking a moment and should not be disturbed. If you are taking your moment in your home, you will need to let the other people who live there not to disturb you unless it is an emergency. (And I’ve found it helpful to review what actually counts as an emergency!) You can’t get mad at your family for interrupting your me moment if you haven’t let them know that you are taking one!
Third – treat yourself to something indulgent. As moms, we spend a lot of time sacrificing what we want to make everyone else happy. Take a moment every now and then and indulge in something that you love. For me, it’s Oui Yogurt by Yoplait. It’s rich and creamy and feels completely sophisticated.

First, a little background on why I love Oui so much. My first summer out of grad school, I had the opportunity to travel to Paris for the first time. I immediately fell in love with the city and the food there. Oh, the food!! We had a small fridge in our hotel room and headed down to a little market to stock up on breakfast foods and snacks. I grabbed some yogurt and added it to the cart. The next morning when I went to eat it for breakfast I was in for a pleasant surprise – it was nothing like the yogurt I was use to eating at home! It was packaged in a cute little glass jar and had a creamy, rich taste. I was in love.

Fast forward a few years (or decades) and my own fridge is stocked with yogurt that the kiddo likes and I eat because it’s there. And then Yoplait introduces Oui and I am instantly transported back to those days in Paris. They completely recreated the magic of that french yogurt, from the little glass jars to the whole milk richness to the eight simple sophisticated flavors. It’s poured into the jars and sets for eight hours which is their secret to making it super thick and creamy.

So let your kids eat the cottony candy flavored yogurt in the plastic cups. You can say “yes” to Oui Yogurt by Yoplait! Pick some up at your local Walmart and schedule your own me moment today.
