MTV Made – the Karate Kid

Okay, I admit that I don’t usually watch MTV. I am old enough to remember when they used to play music videos on MTV (gasp!).

But, I did watch Made’s 100th episode. It was filmed in Kimberly, WI and features Ryan Watkins, a self proclaimed couch potato, being made into the “karate kid”. He was trained by Master Chan Lee from J K Lee’s Blackbelt Academy. (Yeah, the one that Little J goes to.)

The show is great. You see this kid struggle through five weeks of vigorous training, overcome an injury, get attacked by masked ninjas (Little J’s teachers in costume) and culminates with his participation in the Midwestern Tournament – the same one Little J participated in.
