Now that (most of ) the kiddos are out of school, you may be looking for some things to do with them. All summer, I’ll be posting things to do during the week and on the weekend. I’ll post all of them under the heading “things to do”.
This weekend has a few not-so-typical events going on:
Go down a giant waterslide and help a worthy cause! Great Wolf Lodge is having a fundraiser for The Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm. During their second annual World’s Largest Waterslide-athon, they will donate $1 for every trip made down the waterslide. The goal is to raise $250,000 across all 11 Great Wolf Lodge resorts nationwide. Have fun and help a great cause at the same time!!
Learn how to be safer. Kohl’s Cares®: The Great Safety Adventure® is a new mobile health education unit geared toward reducing the number of Wisconsin youth who get injured at home and features a retrofitted semitrailer that represents a 1,200-square-foot home dedicated to educating parents and their children about the five leading safety risks found inside and outside the home including falls, poisoning, fire and burns, choking and suffocation, and drowning.
This weekend, it will be making a stop at the Menomonee Falls Kohl’s from 10 am to 2 pm. (Check out the tour schedule to find when it will be stopping near you – it will be updated as the tour goes on. The tour will eventually be making more than 75 stops throughout Wisconsin in 2011!)
Combine Legos and Cars! Rock out with Radio Disney this weekend at LEGOLAND Discovery Center! June 11th at 11am and 1pm for a chance to win. That’s two Rockin Road Shows loaded with high octane music, wicked games and smokin’ hot prizes, not to mention the LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s first ever Cars Derby!
Go see a movie! Living Social has a great deal for two movie tickets for $9 through Fandango. This deal will be ending tonight, so grab it up quickly of you think you might want it! (Be sure to read the fine print on the offer – you must purchase the tickets through Fandango.com and not at the theater.)
Enjoy a family movie at home. Be sure to set aside Saturday evening to watch Field of Vision together. You won’t want to miss the latest in Wal-mart’s Family Movie Night series!
