Six years ago today…and a giveaway.
Six years ago today, Little J made his entrance into the world. Granted it was a slow and drawn out entrance (Can we say 23 hours of labor and 3 1/2 hours of pushing? The kid was stubborn even back then!) but once he arrived, we forgave him. Plus he was kinda cute, right from the beginning. And a little bit pensive.
We were thrilled to have him – still are in fact. Those first few months were a bit overwhelming and there were a few things I had every intention of doing that I never got around to. One of those things was hunting down one of those “on the day you were born” type things, but it had to be really nice, not tacky and hide-in-the-closet ugly.
So last month, when I got an email from BSM Media and Milson Road asking if I’d like to try out their services, I jumped at the chance. Milson Road offers “The Daily Portrait” which captures any day in history AND customizes it to your specific event (graduation, wedding, birth, anniversary). Plus they do it in a way that is classy and gorgeous! With a wide variety of frame and mat styles and colors, you can customize it to look sharp in any room of your house.
I sent of Little J’s stats and information and they sent back (quickly, I should add!) a beautiful piece of art! (I did blur out some of the more personal information to protect LJ’s privacy. The actual hanging is crystal clear.)
It has a little article about his birth and then all the information you could want about his actual birthday: who else shares his birthday, what songs and movies were popular, the stock market’s value – you name it!
And the great thing (according to LJ) is that I also get to give one of these fabulous creations away!! He thinks it’s “cool” that I get to give away a present on his birthday.
Here’s how to enter:
- Go to Milson Road’s Website and look around for inspiration.
- Come back here and leave a comment telling me who you would use this gift for (saying yourself is just fine!). Would you use it to celebrate a birthday or a wedding?
- For an extra entry, go over to the Wisconsin Mommy Fan page and “like” it. Leave a comment letting me know you are a fan.

The giveaway will run until midnight (central time) August 5th. At that time a winner will be chosen via random.org and notified by email. If the winner does not respond within 72 hours, another winner will be chosen. Please make sure that I have a way to reach you by email should you win.

I want to give it to my little Punkin. I tried to fill out his baby book the best that I could that devoted a section of ‘current events and prices,’ but I felt that I didn’t have all of the answers.
