As a kid, I loved reading a LOT. In fact, I was the kind of kid who would get in trouble for staying up past my bedtime for reading rather than watching TV or playing with toys. Loving reading just came natural to me and it wasn’t anything anyone had to make an effort to encourage.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case with most kids. Because I know from experiences as an elementary teacher what a difference reading makes, I’m thrilled to be partnering with Brightly on this compensated post about their current giveaway.
When Josh was in Kindergarten, we was testing as an exceptional reader but didn’t love reading the way I had at his age. I struggled to find books that he would love enough to want to read when he didn’t have to. I love that Brightly has put together a list of the 50 best books for 5 and 6 year olds and is giving away a bundle of books from that list as part of the Read Brightly Giveaway!
