One of my favorite ways to get into the holiday spirit is by watching holiday movies – both my old favorites and some of the new classics. Even though I could happily watch holiday movies all year round, I pretty much force myself to hold off until December 1st before plunging headfirst into the video merriment.
Watching the one or two holiday movies on each night doesn’t really cut it for me. I want to watch them in the morning when I’m folding the laundry or early afternoon while I’m wrapping presents. Lucky for me, having Netflix means I can have all of my favorite holiday movies at my fingertips no matter what time of day I am wanting to partake.
I have my own top 10 list of holiday movies I have to watch every year. Some are traditional favorites and some are ones my family counts as “traditional” at least at our house. Here is my top 10 list:
1) While You Were Sleeping
2) White Christmas
4) National Lampoons Christmas Vacation (DVD only)
5) Christmas with the Kranks
6) Elf (DVD only)
7) Good Luck Charlie It’s Christmas
8) Miracle on 34th Street (DVD only)
9) A Christmas Story (DVD only)
10) It’s A Wonderful Life (DVD only )
I’ve also poked around Netflix and found a few holiday movies I haven’t seen yet but want to check out. This year I’m adding The Heart of Christmas and Christmas Angel to “MyList” and maybe they will also join the list of seasonal favorites.
