This post is brought to you through a sponsored partnership with the Believe in Heroes program. All opnions are my own.
Are you familiar with the Wounded Warrior Project? It is a charity and veteran’s service organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. It is one of my very favorite charities and I am always on the lookout for ways to support it. There are so many men and women who have put it all on the line to protect and serve, and many come home facing issues we can’t even imagine. The Wounded Warrior Project helps by offering them (and their families) support and services for no cost.
The Believe in Heroes campaign is a great way to support Wounded Warriors by doing something as routine and easy as grocery shopping.
Believe in Heroes was created in 2010 for the purpose of creating awareness of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and fundraising for the services WWP provides. Believe in Heroes brings to light the long-term needs of injured service members, their caregivers and families, while also raising money for the programs and services WWP provides free of charge to those it serves.
Believe in Heroes has grown quite a bit since its launch in 2010. When it started, it had the support of just over a dozen brands and just one retailer. Now it has grown to include more than 40 brands and 170 retailers – how cool is that? Believe in Heroes has raised over $22 million since it began and this year’s goal is to exceed the amount raised last year.
How you can help support Believe in Heroes.
Offering your support to Believe in Heroes is easy and super convenient. Simply download the list of brands and retailers that are participating and shop as you normally would. In my area, I have Pick ‘n Save, Piggly Wiggly ad Sentry all participating at least half of the brands on the list are items I already buy regularly.
Please take a few minutes and support this amazing program!
