Welcome to the first installment of our 2018 Holiday Gift Guide!! We found so many amazing gift ideas to include in this year’s Holiday Gift Guide that we have split it up into several posts each with a little different focus. We will also be featuring some of our absolute favorites in Instagram Stories over on the Wisconsin Mommy Instagram channel, so be sure to check those out as well. (Many of these items were provided to me for review. Post may contain affiliate links which does not affect the price you are charged for the item.)
I am a self-admitted subscription box junkie. I love the surprise of a whole box of goodies landing on my doorstep for me to discover. Whether it’s some new beauty goodies, some business building tools or even something educational for the kiddo, I’m hooked! Here are some of my favorite boxes to gift (and receive!!!).
This Hololab LightUp subscription box is a little bit of STEM, a little engineering, a little virtual reality and whole LOT of fun all tucked into a briefcase-sized box that lands on your doorstep every month. Designed by former teachers, each box contains multiple science lessons that are supported by fun reality learning games and 3D VR enhancements (with the free app). Perfect for the “reluctant learner” who is tough to pull away from his or her video games! Check out our own experience with a LightUp box here.
I’ve been an essential oils fan for a while now. I absolutely LOVE the Simply Earth monthly recipe box since it not only gives you four (yes FOUR!!) full-sized therapeutic grade oils but also a ton of ideas on how to use the oils AND some tools to make your oily DIY projects like bath bombs and room sprays. I haven’t found anything else like it out there!! And if that wasn’t all awesome enough, this Wisconsin-based business donates 13% of their profits to help fight human trafficking.
As an entrepreneur who also works from home, the days can feel kind of isolating sometimes. Not only is this subscription box chock full of fun, whimsical items, it also comes with some great business building information in the form of books and webinars and (maybe most importantly) a Facebook community where you can connect with other like-minded woman entrepreneurs and discuss the topics included in the box.
