If you’ve got a kid, I’ll bet you know all about Minecraft! Josh is a HUGE Minecraft fan and even got to participate in a pilot program at his school where the kids played the education version of Minecraft with students from another school in a neighboring town. So you can imagine how excited he was to hear that Super League Gaming (the first in-theater gaming league set inside major movie theaters) was coming to Milwaukee!
Gaming can be a pretty solitary sport. so the chance to meet up face to face (or IRL as the kids say) with other gamers is pretty cool. Not to mention the fact that pulling out laptops and electronics and using them in the movie theater is actually encouraged!
The summer tour is in its sixth week and is visiting the Milwaukee area through out the week. The event allows Minecraft fans to bring their laptops and play on the big screen for a $20 ticket. (Parents – don’t worry. You can escort your child for free.) Prizes will be awarded to the top scorers.
