I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for McCafé packaged coffee. I received product samples as well as a monetary promotional incentive to thank me for my participation.
Anyone who knows me at all knows I love my coffee. Ironically, I absolutely hated coffee up until college and I blame my roommate for my conversion. Up until she introduced me to fresh brewed coffee, my only experience with it had been at my gandparents’ house where they served freeze dried Sanka. Bleck! Once my roommate started brewing fresh grounds in our room, I couldn’t resist giving it another try since it smelled so good. And an addict was born. (Of course she transferred schools at the end of the year and I had to go out and buy my own brewing equipment.)
I’ve mentioned a few times that my first job out of college was as a college admissions rep and I wound up travelling all over Connecticut visiting high schools for much of the year. This was back before their was a coffee shop with a drive-thru on every corner and I found that there were a lot of small town that didn’t have any coffee shops at all.
My dad mentioned to me that McDonald’s served great coffee and also had a drive-thru which was a huge bonus when I was rushing to make an early morning appointment. And the great thing was that even the small towns usually had a McDonald’s! My love for McDonald’s coffee goes back a long way, as you can see!!
Now that my days are more often spent in front of the computer in home address rather than driving through small towns, I love that McDonald’s coffee (appropriately called McCafé) is available to be brewed at home! Personally, I love to add a little holiday flair to my daily coffee by using egg nog as my creamer of choice. I take my coffee on the light side so I just add enough to get the color I like and then stir and enjoy.
