Is Your Child Wearing the Right Size Mask?

Over the last few months, we have learned about the importance of the role of masks in keeping our families healthy. As the kids head back to school, most are required to wear masks while they are at school and on the buses. But are they wearing masks that are specifically fitted to their smaller faces?

I’m thrilled to be partnering with Protect|ED on this sponsored post to bring you some options for your primary students when you are looking for personal protective equipment or PPE.

Sending younger students off to school with adult-sized masks is not a great solution. Masks that are too large for their faces can result in decreased protection for both the wearer and those around them. Improperly fitting masks can slide down and/or have gaps around the child’s face.

Protect|ED is a personal protective equipment company with a mission of helping K-12 schools, colleges, teachers and parents safely return to in-person learning and activities by providing the PPE needed for these scenarios.

The Protect|ED team has utilized facial studies to develop a smaller face mask specifically designed to fit younger children from pre-K through second grade. These specially designed masks are not just smaller in width and height, but they also have shorter ear loops and is designed to flex more effectively on a child’s cheeks.

Protect|ED is the only company offering these specially designed masks for this younger age group. They also offer an intermediate mask for students in grades 3 through 6.
