Like most moms, I have about a gazillion pictures in my phone. And also like most moms, I love sharing said photos with my extended family who happen to be located all over the country. A huge thank you to ibi for sponsoring this post about an easy to use solution for sharing and distributing your family photos!
So the other day, I was at an event and realized what was happening right in front of me would make great video content. I whipped out my phone and started recording just to have that annoying message pop up. You know the one – the “your phone memory is full” message? I cannot tell you how many times I have been in the middle of filming and had that happen. Yes, it is probably because I have 9,471 photos and 718 videos. It’s a problem I’m working on!! See, a bunch of those photos and videos are ones I’ve been meaning to share with family, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Sharing photos can be a pain! You can only put a few at a time into an email or else the file gets too big. And have you ever tried texting or emailing a video? That does not go well!! Airdropping is great IF the other person has an iPhone and IF the other person is there right when you want to share it. I don’t really want all my personal photos out on social media even if I did restrict access to those posts – and again, some of my relatives aren’t even on Facebook and Instagram. And some of those older relatives either don’t know how to use the Cloud or are quite mistrustful of it, so that’s also not an option. Ideally, I’ve been wanting one place where I could put all of my photos and videos and then share it to EVERYONE I want to from there.
And it’s finally here!!! It’s called ibi and it’s SanDisk’s newest creation.
Let me tell you, ibi is your perfect smart photo manager – it’s easy to use and does everything you’d want it to. It serves as a central place for you to share your photos and videos with your favorite people. Whether it’s a wedding, your latest vacation, a bridal or baby shower or even those everyday moments you catch on film (well, virtual film!) and want to share, you choose exactly which photos go to which of your friends and family.
Let start with setting it up. You simply take it out of the box, plug it in, and download the app. No complicated configuring our trying to find an open port on your router. Just unbox and plug into a socket! (And a big bonus is that this powerful device is compact and kinda cute – so you won’t mind having it set up on a table or bookcase.) You can choose how to add your photos and videos – from your device, from the cloud, from a USB or even from the ibi desktop app. It holds up to 2TB of media so we are talking about 500,000+ photos or 200+ hours of video. Even I might have a hard time filling that up!!
And ibi helps you organize your photos so you can actually find one when you are looking for it! The intuitive app allows you to search by location or date. Then share an individual photo or a whole album with one person or a hundred. It’s all up to you! Got a Roku or Chromecast? You can even play your photos and videos on your TV.
I’m so excited now that ibi is helping me get all those photos off of my phone and into the hands of my family and friends!!
