Some gifts are just too good to give away!!
(Full disclosure: I received these items for free and also am providing affiliate links for you to purchase them. Now, you can either purchase them and give them as gifts, or you can purchase them and keep them for yourself. I’m the last one to judge about THAT!!)
Every once in a while, I buy a gift for someone else and wind up falling in love with it so much that I decide to keep it myself. This year, I actually fell in love with a few of the gifts I was intending to give away. I’m fessing up publicly in hopes that it will help me feel less guilty. Or maybe a few of you have done the same thing and can relate? Either way, here are the items I loved waaaay too much to part with:
Flutterby Mascara Shield
I tend to skip putting on mascara simply because I don’t feel like I do a very good job of it. I don’t have an especially steady hand and tend to get the mascara on my lashes, my eyelid, and just about everything else. The Flutterby Mascara Shield has solved my problem and I’m rediscovering mascara. (It really does make my eyes look better!!) ANd it turns out you can also use it to help with eyeliner and eyeshadow application. Yes, they are perfect for teen girls, but this middle-aged lady right here just fell in love with them too.
HP – Sprocket 2-in-1 Photo Printer
This was going to be for my teen, but I have to admit that as soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be mine! You may remember me raving about the Sprocket printer in past gift guides. The HP-Sprocket 2-in-1 Photo Printer takes all that instant photo printing awesomeness just one step further. Now, you don’t have to even take the time to connect your phone or camera to the printer, it’s built right in!! It’s both a 5-megapixel camera and compact printer that takes and creates high-quality snapshots in mere moments. It even has an included selfie mirror to snap a perfectly centered group photo. And you can still use the Bluetooth connectivity to print photos on your phone or tablet. How cool is that???
And you’ll probably want to stock up on these cool Sproket supplies too: Sprocket printing paper and this beautiful rose gold carrying case.
The Piano Guys Christmas Together CD
You guys KNOW that I love the Piano Guys. Well, this album does not disappoint! Their new album, Christmas Together, features new and classic Christmas songs to be enjoyed with the whole family. Christmas Together features The Piano Guys’ signature arrangements of timeless holiday songs such as “Silent Night”, “The Little Drummer Boy” mashed-up with “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “O Holy Night/Ave Maria” featuring teen vocal sensation Lexi Walker plus “The Sweetest Gift”, a touching new song that is dedicated Jon Schmidt’s daughter. The first video from the album will be for “Ode to Joy to the World” which incorporates elements of the fourth movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony alongside Isaac Watt’s now-classic composition. Special guests on Christmas Together include The King’s Singers, Placido Domingo, David Archuleta, Peter Hollens and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Happy Salmon Blue Fish Game
Any game that comes in its own pouch is already a hit with me. Make that pouch cool looking like this blue salmon, and you have a true fan! That’s on top of the fact that this is a fast-paced game you can play in just 60 seconds and that it’s easy enough to learn how to play in 30 seconds. If you already have the green Happy Salmon set, you can combine the two and play with up to 12 people. Perfect family game for after Christmas dinner when everyone is too stuffed to move and looking for something to do!
