Every holiday season we keep our eyes open for a gift that the whole family can enjoy. As Josh gets older, that becomes a little more difficult as we seem to have less and less time together with all of his activities. When we do have a chunk of family time, we love to watch movies at home. As much fun as going to the theater is, the cost for a family to all see a new movie (plus popcorn and drinks!!) can creep up there pretty quickly. Plus, I love watching at home where we can pause to take a snack or bathroom break whenever we want to.
A few years back, we bought a flat screen for our family room that probably wasn’t the best choice we ever made. In an effort to find a TV that fit into our traditional TV armoire, we settled on a lower quality unit and have regretted it ever since. Not only was the picture not all we had hoped, the screen developed a shadow down the right side of it after a few months. All this to say that a new family room TV might just be on our Christmas wish list this year. (And I’m pretty sure we will NOT be going bottom of the line this time.)
In fact, there’s a pretty cool TV over at Best Buy right now that I’ve had my eye on for a while. The LG OLED TV meets all of my “must have” criteria – and then some! The picture quality leaves nothing to be desired as it is top notch and has infinite contrast ratio and stunning color that delivers a greater sense of realism and depth, enhanced color range and accuracy. It also is super thin and will look great no matter where we put it. In fact, it is only 0.21″ thick at its thinnest point!! And it even has intuitive webOS™Smart TV interface – a must for any tech-loving family.
