Thank you Brawny® Tear-A-Square® for sponsoring this post. Think of all the ways you can Put a Square There!
If you know me at all, you know that I try to be somewhat frugal whenever I can. Part of me just hates waste – it’s just so, well, wasteful! Plus, it’s like throwing money down the drain.
So, I’ve had some feelings when I see my family using a whole paper towel to wipe up a tiny spill, or as a napkin when we are out of them. (I’ll confess that I did try replacing paper towels with rags/cloths at one point and it just wasn’t practical. I was doing so many extra loads of wash because of them that I’m pretty sure I was spending more money and causing more waste than families three times our size! Let’s face it – paper towels are a brilliant invention and something that most families cannot function without!)
So, my little comments about using a whole sheet of paper towel when it was clearly overkill were met with rolled eyes and sarcastic questions. “What do you want us to do? Cut off a corner?”
Well, apparently I wasn’t the only one who saw a problem here! The folks at Brawny® have come up with what I am going to call a BRILLIANT solution to my complaint.
Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels!!
These super absorbent paper towels not only tear down to a half sheet, they also tear AGAIN down to a quarter sheet. Genius!!
Since warm weather has finally hit Wisconsin, we are breaking out some of our favorite summer things. One of my favorite things is squeeze pops. (You know, the popsicles that are in a long tube and you push them up from the bottom as you eat them.) My very favorite thing to do is make my own! Since Josh runs in the hot weather, I like making them out of electrolyte and sports drinks so he can get the benefit of a recovery drink while he is cooling down. I also like making lemonade ones for myself because nothing tastes more like summer to me than lemonade.
The only problem is that I have a really hard time filling the squeeze pop tubes without dribbling a bit at the end. And the red drink stains white countertops if you don’t wipe it up quickly. (Ask me how I know that!!)
When I whipped up my inaugural batch of freeze pops, I had a roll of Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels all set and ready to go. I managed to make a whole batch without ruining any of my countertops, too!
You’d better believe that I am also making quarter sheet pieces available when my family is enjoying their squeeze pops. No need to waste a whole sheet! This way, we can enjoy the strength we have come to count on Brawny® for, but only use what we really need.
I can’t wait to discover all the additional ways Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels are going to make our lives easier this summer! How do you picture your family using them?
