After thirty-something years of never owning a dog, I finally get it. I went from reluctantly letting LJ play with Roofus at the shelter to agreeing to take him home with us to loving him like he has been a member of the family forever.
The more time Roofus spends with us, the more I realize he really is LJ’s dog – they both have allergies (Seriously? Dogs can have seasonal allergies??? I need a canine version of the Claritin Moms Crew!) and they both are super picky eaters. I’m pretty sure I have the only dog on the block who actually turns down treats if they aren’t up to his standards. On the positive side, he doesn’t leap to eat food that falls on the floor as apparently much of it is not up to par.
I was curious what would happen when I was given Cesar Cookie Crunchies to review. Would Roofus turn up his nose at them or give them two paws up? I thought it was a good sign when he practically jumped inside the box that they came in!
Sure enough – he loved both the filet mignon AND the chicken flavors. These cookies are not too high in calories and make a perfect treat for small dogs. Cesar makes all kinds of treats in addition to the Cookie Crunchies – soft treats in a variety of flavors. Roofus is looking forward to trying ALL of them!
