Cars 2 Movie Ticket Giveaway with Fandango #gocars2

This weekend it got really hot here in Wisconsin – and by really hot I mean a heat advisory and temps that felt over 100.  Whew!  What better time to head to the movies?  Especially when a long awaited sequel is out.  You know which one I’m talking about?  (Hey!  You peeked at the title of the post!!)

Yes, Cars 2!

We’ve been waiting and waiting for this one to arrive and it’s finally here.  So off we go to the movies.  But wait…who wants to stand in a hot stuffy line to buy tickets?  Not us, so we are giving Fandango a try.

It was actually very easy – I used the mobile app on my iPhone (which I downloaded from iTunes) and I also put a quick slideshow together that can walk you through it too.  I love that Fandango allows you to quickly purchase tickets no matter where you are. You can purchase them in advance too, so you will never miss a movie because it is sold out. (And you don’t have to go an hour before it starts and then kill time in the lobby waiting for the doors to open!)

One thing I didn’t love – most of the theaters in the Milwaukee area do not allow online ticketing through Fandango.  Some in the western suburbs do, but that doesn’t help folks in the city or on the east side.

One little extra that I loved – Fandango is currently running a promotion where you get a free iTunes download with each Fandango purchase.  I love free music!!

Thanks to Fandango and Collective Bias, I am giving away a pair (that’s two!) of tickets to see Cars 2.  The prize will be awarded in the form of a code that can be used at Fandango.com or on any of their mobile apps to purchase tickets.

Here’s how to enter:

Curious about LJ’s take on the movie?  Here you go…

He’s apparently a boy of few words today.

Personally, I liked the movie a lot.  It kept moving and didn’t lose anyone’s attention, even in a theater of kids of all ages.  If you go see it, keep an eye out for Milwaukee’s own David Hobbs as a race-announcing Jag.

Already seen Cars 2?  There are lots of great movies coming out shortly Transformers (parts of which were shot here in Milwaukee!) and the new Harry Potter movie.  You can purchase tickets for those movies as well as tons more on Fandango as well.

Lightning McQueen of course. I want to take my son to this, but think he may be too young. He’s not quite 3 yet. Hmm.
