should I start watching “The Walking Dead”? Every week, my Facebook stream fills up with people counting down the minutes until “The Walking Dead” comes on. I’ve never watched it but am getting pretty curious now.
I’m not a big vampire fan, never got into the “Twilight” craze but did love Buffy back in the day. So is this worth me investing some free time into? Or will I not get it at all???
Advise please.
We started watching it and then got rid of satellite so we don’t anymore. My husband would say yes, I would say no.
I can’t watch it because I am deathly afraid of zombies. They. FREAK. ME. OUT!!! So instead I would suggest Homeland or Sons of Anarchy. Both amazing shows and NO ZOMBIES!
Love Twilight it was awesome but I don’t add many new shows to my lineup I never have time to watch the few I do like. Thank goodness for DVR.
I haven’t watched the show and more than likely won’t so I’m not help. Sorry.
I say YOU MUST. It’s not about zombies, it’s about post-apocalyptic life. The storyline follows a group of survivors, what they do to stay together, what happens along the way, and how they make it. The zombies are WHY they are living as they do, but even if you substituted the zombies for another type of ‘disease,’ the show would still be compelling, interesting, amazing and worth every minute.
As a Buffy fan, I insist you watch it! ; )

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about it even though I don’t watch it myself. I just have too many shows to add another right now.

When season 1 was on Netflix my husband would watch it when I wasn’t home because I didn’t want to see it. After season 2 came out on DVD my husband wouldn’t stop talking about it so we bought the DVD set. At this point he made me sit down and watch the first episode of season 1…. I didn’t like it. Then I found myself asking him questions days later and I knew I was hooked. So I watched the whole season AND then watched the second season without my husband (he hadn’t see it yet), lol. Now that we’re both caught up we couldn’t wait for season 3 to come out and we’re stuck to the TV on Sunday nights. I love it and tweet up a storm.
I’ve never watched it. My television viewing schedule is kind of full.

It took me over a year before I watched this show, and I could hardly believe that I had waited so long!

Is it bad that I have no idea what Walking Dead is?
I find the story at least somewhat compelling, but something about the look of the show puts me off. It’s not that it’s oppressively “dark” or anything (I mean, it IS, but that’s not a drawback). It’s that it has a weird low-res video kind of look to it, unattended by any twinge of nostalgia. Maybe it’s just me, but I just can’t put up with looking at it for long enough to get invested.
