Blurb Photobooks – win a $50 GC (great gift idea!!)

I love technology. I really do! It allows me to keep in touch with family scattered all across the country.  Whether Facetiming with my aunt or Facebooking with my cousins, I love how technology keeps us all in the know about what the others are doing.

I do occasionally worry about some of the memories I have created online and what will happen to them if that particular platform should close down.  I had a bunch of great content on Whrrl and then *poof* Whrrl was no more.

Not that I think Facebook is going anywhere anytime soon, but occasionally I look at the photos and interactions I’ve had with friends and family about them and think that I would be really sad if they disappeared too.

That’s why I was so thrilled to be able to create a Blurb book with all of my Facebook photos. Yes, I have the photos saved in other places too, but the comments my friends and family have made on them are what make the photos even more special.

The process could not have been any easier. I simply logged onto Blurb.com and chose the tab marked “Facebook books”. Then connected to my Facebook account and the magic elves inside Blurb took care of the rest. I chose some of my favorite pictures for the cover and added the titles I wanted.  Magically, a book appeared on my doorstep not long after!

What really impressed me was the quality of the book!  It is a hard cover, bound as well as any book you’d buy at a bookstore and the pages are thick and sturdy.  It really feels like a “real” book and not like some other ones I have ordered off of websites in the past.

You can make any kind of book you would like: Instagram books, photo books, blog books, cookbooks, anything really!  You can even create a book and then sell it for a profit! There is a whole section on the Blurb website dedicated to creating a book to sell.

I have a $50 gift card to Blurb to give away to one lucky Wisconsin Mommy reader.
