I love grilling out in the summer. Between not heating up the kitchen (any more than it already is) and the minimal clean up, it seems like the perfect way to cook on a hot night. Because of this, our grill gets a LOT of use each summer. (Truth be told, we actually grill out all year long – just a little more in the summer.)
For us, the ultimate cookout foods are definitely hamburgers. You’ve got to love a food you can pick up and eat, that you can customize with different toppings, and that tastes great! Being from Wisconsin, in our house a plain old hamburger just won’t cut it unless it is topped with cheese (which I guess would make it a cheeseburger!!).
Turns out, we are not alone in our love for cheeseburgers. Nine in ten (92 percent) burger-eaters like cheese on their patties and 82% of Americans agree that cheese makes a burger taste better. To celebrate all things cheeseburger, Sargento cheese created the America’s Ultimate Cheeseburger contest and asked chefs in Milwaukee, Chicago, Miami, San Diego and New York to create a cheeseburger featuring Sargento Natural Sliced Cheeses to
showcase their city or state’s famous culinary flair!

Personally, I think Milwaukee is the odds on favorite to win!! After all, Sobelman’s DID compete in the Travel Channel’s FOOD WARS best burger contest!!
