Both of my parents pretty much qualify as people "who have everything". Which makes shopping for them a bit tricky. My dad likes biking and golf, so Father's Day is a bit less perplexing, but my mom? Super tough to shop for.
While I know that flowers are always an appropriate gift, having flowers delivered on a major floral holiday can get expensive. You know what I mean - the price always shoots up on Valentines or Mother's Day, right? So I try and get a little creative.
Last year, I taught myself (with the help of Google of course) how to make a fruit arrangement type gift. It was a lot of work and had a hard time staying together. I basically delivered it and then she had to take it apart to get it in a container so the fruit wouldn't spoil. But it was still a pretty good first attempt for someone who really isn't very crafty, right?
So this year, I'm looking to find another idea that is a bit original, not too hard, and will show my mom how special she is. If you've got any ideas, I'd love to hear them!!

ReplyDeleteI have zero ideas!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a fruit arrangement but never really thought about having to take it apart to put it away. Guess I would just have to eat it all right then :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom loves coffee - so this year I'm going to make her some home made sugar cubes in the shape of hearts and give her that with her favorite coffees and a mug or something.
ReplyDeleteTreat her to a day at the spa and fix her dinner instead of taking her out.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet and I am sure you have a wonderful Mom!! Cherish every moment!
ReplyDeleteTHese are great I always need ideas
