Colgate's Invisible Nasties #InvisibleNasties

I remember hearing once that when you flush the toilet with the lid up, it sends a fine spray of toilet water (and not the perfume kind) into the air landing on whatever you have on your counter - including your toothbrushes.

I don't know if that is true (please DO leave me a comment if you know if that is true or just another urban legend!) but it does make you think about what might be lurking in the bristles of your toothbrush. The one you put in your mouth (hopefully) twice a day. Eww.

Even if the toilet spray isn't true, you do need to replace your toothbrush every so often, like after you have been sick, or at least every three months if you are well. Colgate has set up a program highlighting the germs that can lurk in toothbrushes and it even offers replacement reminders! Check out the Colgate Invisible Nasties campaign here.

Colgate and Collective Bias sent Little J and I on a shopping trip to pick up some new toothbrushes AND to create an art project representing the "Invisible Nasties" that may be hiding in our toothbrushes. Typical for us - we couldn't decide what to do, so we created TWO art projects! Check out our shopping trip and crafting session below:
