You all know how much I love products created by moms! Not only do I love supporting other moms, but I think they come up with the best ideas since they face the same everyday problems as I do.
Since Little J will be going to school all day next year, he will be eating lunch away from home for the first time. Since I am very definitely not a fan of school lunches, I will be packing him a lunch each day. This is going to add an extra step to an already tight morning routine. Lucky for me, I discovered Easy Lunchboxes.
Kelly Lester was a mom sick of searching for the right size containers and lids to make lunches for her 3 kids.
Her clever solution to the lunch-packing chore is the simple two piece EasyLunchbox container : The bottom has three compartments to hold an entree or sandwich and two side dishes. The fitted lid (which comes in 4 colors) covers all three compartments in a snap. No more mismatched plastic container pieces to keep track of or wasteful baggies. Fits perfectly inside the roomy EasyLunchbox custom carrying bag. And there is still plenty of room to throw in an extra snack or two, whole fruit, perhaps a thermos of soup, drink and ice block. Flexibility is key, and since so many different things can fit, no matter what menu you choose to include, it packs easily and quickly. It's amazing how much faster, greener, and easier lunch box packing is with the EasyLunchbox system.
By eliminating the unnecessary multiple parts and accessories offered by other companies, the EasyLunchbox System is 1/2 the price of similar products, so it's very affordable. And it's also reusable, which helps save the environment. FDA approved. No BPA, phthalates, lead, vinyl, or PVC. Safe for dishwasher and microwave.
The simple chic design and bright colors of the Cooler Bags can even be personalized!
They have included a sturdy grommet in the carrying handle so you can easily attach a pretty key ring, or your choice of any type of handcrafted or store bought “flair.” The Cooler Bags are made of the highest quality 300D Polyester for premium durability and toughness. Vinyl free (PVC free) & lead free, with an FDA compliant PEVA lining.
I have to say that this product was a HUGE hit at my house! I will be the first admit that my container cabinet needs an extreme makeover, so having a pre-set container to use was a great time saver. Big J liked Little J's lunchbox so much, he promptly ordered one for himself! (Much better than going out to lunch everyday.
Want to try the Easy Lunchbox system for yourself? Thanks to the generosity of EasyLunchboxes creator and founder, Kelly, I'm giving away a complete system to one lucky reader. The system includes an insulated carrier and four compartmentalized containers.

My favorite lunch memory was in high school. I worked at the library after lunch so for lunch the librarian would bring me things she cooked that I'd never tried before. She was from India and that was actually my first introduction to different cuisines from around the world.

I went to a private elementary school, so we rarely had a 'hot' lunch. We all brought our lunches everyday. I probably had a salami sandwich 10,000 times before I was 15! :D

ReplyDeleteIn kindergarten I had a PINK Minnie Mouse lunch box and sometimes I still miss it :-p I totally remember my first day taking it to school and how COOL I felt!! haha.
ReplyDeletethanks for the memory - and chance to win!
Mom always packed all 5 of our lunches. She tried to be nice - I ate alot of bologna and cheese by my choice. I also remember refusing to eat the egg salad sandwiches so she came up with a compromise - hard boiled eggs. And here I thought I was getting away with something!

My favorite memory is that my mom packed a lunch for my sister and I and used pumpernikel bread for our sandwich. My sister told everyone that it was chocolate bread and they believed her. candaceotto32 at yahoo dot com

My friend likes to remind me that in elementary school I would try to get attention at the lunch table by grossing out kids doing things like eating mustard and ketchup packets!

I remember in high school, we actually got to LEAVE campus and go get our own fast food. Let me tell you, kids in our town never felt so cool as when they got to spin their tires riding out of the packing lot to go get mickie d's! Haha!

Oh, I used to get THE best pizza in high school. YUM. I always wondered what brand it was so I could find it and buy it myself for home!

I remember school lunches at my elementary school. We lived in a very small District and all the food was homemade - it was sooooo yummy. Especially the hamburgers - my mouth waters just typing it!

ReplyDeleteOh, how great! It doesn't mention if this giveaway is open to Canadians, I sure hope so!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite lunch memory? I used to eat lunch at my cousin's house because she lived closer to our school than I did. My aunt would make us pancakes once a week and we could ask her to make it into any shape we wanted: a house, a heart, Mickey Mouse, etc.
