I have my first stalker...

but it's not what you think.

This robin has been peering in the windows on the west side of our house over the last few days. He mostly looks in, pecking occasionally, but if he doesn't see anyone for a few minutes (like when I closed all of the blinds hoping he would leave) he begins throwing himself against the glass. Rather odd behavior if you ask me.

Other than being slightly disconcerting, this behavior has resulted in streams of bird-poop down the siding below all of our windows. I finally decided that this needed to stop, but what to do??

Little J finally came up with a solution that works - he took his stuffed animals and perched one at each window. Voila - no more bird! Got to love a kid that thinks outside the box, right?
