My friend Jay, over at Red Gold tomatoes, has offered to give away a Red Gold gift pack to TWO lucky Wisconsin Mommy readers.
The gift pack includes: cans of Red Gold tomatoes in a wide variety of flavors (I am especially partial to the garlic ones!), their award-winning cookbook with over 60 easy recipes that use tomatoes, a tote, hat, cutting board, and tee-shirt.
In this economy, who couldn't use some free food???
A little about the Red Gold company:
Red Gold is one of the top tomato brands in Milwaukee. Because of that, there are a large number of Red Gold enthusiasts (tomatoes are grown locally in the Midwest — Indiana and Ohio — and is a private, family-owned business as apposed to a conglomerate). Tomatoes grown in the Midwest have advantages because of the perfect growing temperature (85 degrees) and the winter helps break up the soil for fine root systems.

I love meatloaf. I'm weird like that, but I love tomatoes on top. I also use tomatoes in my vegetable soup.
ReplyDeleteMy chili uses lots of canned tomatoes. I use the tomatoes with the little diced chiles inside. I don't even have to use any chili powder that way!
ReplyDeleteIn the summer my favorite dish with tomatoes is absolutely, hands down fresh salsa!! In the winter I like lots of tomatoes in my chili. Thanks for a yummy giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI use canned tomatoes just about every week to make a really easy, chunky pomodoro sauce that I toss with pasta. Super easy and my two-year-old loves it!
ReplyDeleteProbably chili
ReplyDeleteMy favorite meal with tomatoes is my spaghettu with italian sausage. I cook the tomatoes with a nice spicy italian sausage and fresh basil and serve over spaghetti!
